Raise Your Voice! - October
8th, 2005
Voices for Hospice – the World’s
largest singing event takes place in churches, village halls, theatres,
concert halls, pubs, clubs, schools and a host of other venues right
across the globe!
This worldwide event was a collective global
voice comprised of individuals and associations in many participating
countries. This event takes place every 2 years, 1991 started with
just one concert outside Malta, UK. In 2003, at least 480 concerts
in 44 more countries had joined in.
Each individual concert is dedicated to one
or more local hospices, who receive the net income from that event.
This may come from sponsorship, charitable donations, ticket and
ancillary goods sales, or a simple collection.
• Each event brings vital publicity
and attracts new hospice volunteers.
• Most important of all - each event
allows communities to support their local hospice in a direct way.
On the 8th of October, St. Thomas Ontario
joined with Serenity House Hospice participating to raise awareness
and understanding of the need and importance of hospice and palliative
care.
This Day is for everyone who cares and would
like to make a difference
Thanks to all the supporters who sold and
purchased tickets with your help we were able to raise well needed
funds to assist in Palliative Care Initiatives. Thank You For Supporting
Our Worldwide Project!
